The situation
Founder Karen Webber wanted to turn her accounting processes into a software product. She needed a technical partner who could understand the practice and stay with the build as the business grew.
The work
- Built the core platform from its first code, translating accounting workflows into case management, transaction analysis, and reporting.
- Handled enterprise security work, SOC 2 compliance work, and penetration testing as the product grew.
- Helped staff and lead the engineering team, working alongside design partner Matt Olpinski.
- Continued working with The Bonadio Group after its acquisition of Webber CPA brought FraudFindr into the firm.
What followed
The result
The business reached seven figures in annual revenue during Chase's involvement. In March 2023, The Bonadio Group announced its acquisition of Webber CPA and the addition of FraudFindr to its software portfolio. The relationship later expanded into CareFindr.
Revenue is Chase's firsthand account. Bonadio acquired Webber CPA, bringing FraudFindr into its portfolio as part of that transaction.
“He was quickly able to understand complex accounting processes and translate them into a widely complimented program”
